Description

For the relief of mild to moderate pain and inflammation in conditions such as dysmenorrhea, headache including migraine, postoperative pain, dental pain, musculoskeletal and joint disorders such as ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis including juvinile idiopathic arthritis, peri-articular disorders such as bursitis and tenosynovitis and soft tissue disorders such as sprains and strains. It is also used to reduce fever.

Classification

Nonsteroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs)


Dosage

Adults:
Take 1 capsule every 4 to 6 hours while symptoms persist. If pain or fever does not respond to 1 capsule, dose may be increased to 2 capsules, but do not exceed 6 capsules in 24 hours, unless directed by a doctor. The smallest effective dose should be used.


Precautions

Discontinue use and ask a doctor or health care professional if the pain gets worse or lasts more than 10 days and if fever gets worse or last more than 3 days. Discontinue use and ask doctor if you see a severe allergic reaction, including skin reddening, rash, blisters, blood in your vomit or bloody stools. Consult a doctor if you have asthma, heart disease, liver cirrhosis, hypertension, kidney disease or taking other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Long-term, continuous use may increase the risk of heart attack or stroke. Side effects may be minimized by using the smallest dose for the shortest duration of time. Use with caution in the elderly.


Side Effects

May cause abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea with or without vomiting gastrointestinal bleeding and ulceration.


Contraindications

Do not give to patients with hypersensitivity to the active ingredient ibuprofen, aspirin, NSAIDs or any other component of this product and to patients with concurrent or previous history of gastrointestinal ulcer or bleeding.
