Description
Visine Eye Drops [red]
- Per mL: Tetrahydrozoline hydrochloride 0.5 mg; Other ingredients: Sodium chloride, boric acid, sodium borate with bezalkonium chloride 0.6 mg, and disodium ethylenediamine tetraacetate 1 mg as preservatives.
- 0.05% ophthalmic drops, vasoconstrictor
- Helps soothe irritated eyes and relieve eye redness due to various irritants such as plant or pollen allergies, smog, smoke, dust, and wind.
Precautions
FOR EXTERNAL USE ONLY. Discontinue use and consult the doctor if any of the following occurs: eye pain, changes in vision, continued eye redness or irritation, condition worsens or symptoms persists for more than 72 hours. Do not use if solution changes its color or becomes cloudy. Excessive use may increase eye redness. If pregnant and/or breastfeeding, seek doctor's advise before using this product or any medication. Do not touch the tip of container to any surface to avoid contamination. Replace cap after each use. Remove contact lenses before using this product. Do not use in children below 6 years old, unless recommended by the doctor.
Side Effects
May cause stinging or burning sensation in the eye and reactive hyperemia when used in excessive amount.
Contraindications
This product should not be used in patients with allergy to any of its ingredients. Not to be used by patients with glaucoma, unless advised by the doctor.
