Description
Used as adjunct therapy for respiratory tract disorders associated with excessive mucus and sticky phlegm, such as bronchitis, COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), and middle ear infection with effusion (fluid behind the eardrum) or glue ear.

Dosage
Adults: Take 1 capsule every 8 hours, or as prescribed by the doctor.
Precautions
Caution use in patients with history of gastric or duodenal ulcer and gastrointestinal bleeding. If pregnant or breastfeeding, consult a doctor before taking this product or any medication.
Side Effects
Stomach discomforts, nausea, diarrhea, skin rash, headache, dizziness, insomnia, palpitations, mild hypoglycemia, dry mouth, flatulence, irregular and often fast heart rate.
Contraindications
This product should not be given to patients with active peptic ulcer and those with known hypersensitivity or allergy to carbocisteine.
